Hey all, just bought an 08 black/silver 700xx the other day. I have riden Yamahas all my life and it's about time I switch over to Honda. I've had three warriors and a Raptor 660. Honda is just quality...

anyways.. what are some nice 1st mods?

I already bought a 12 tooth front sprocket. Anything else? Not the big 3 yet.

I think you will enjoy the Honda build quality.

As far as mods you got the right idea with the sprocket. Not sure there is much else besides the big 3 if you are looking for engine performance but maybe someone else can tell you otherwise.

And Pens suck :)

Congrats on the purchase and the xx world. You will be very happy. I have heard the 12 T is a little much. The 13T does the job. You could always open it up and let it breath better with a good air filter. You will have plenty more suggestions. Good luck deciding.:hey:

My buddy just got a 700xx a little earlier than I did, and he bought a 13T and a 12T. For woods/hills/rocky areas, he thought the 12T was perfect. However, the 14T is just out-of-hand.

Are companies starting to make a rear tire now that fits our rims? I usually run holeshots or mudlites. Are the razor 2's available?

Agreed. I have not tried the 12T but like I said the 13T does a fine job in the toughest of areas. Either way its better than the stock 14.

Also, I notice that the IRS pushes the xx around turns. I'm used to my Raptor 660 with a solid axle. Are you guys getting used to this?

the taller front razr2's will solve some of it. the stiffer razrs in the rear will solve some of it. You get used to it and razr tires let you slide some...

What about front wheel spacers to help with the push? Anyone using them or heard of people using them? I had spacers on my 660 and I loved them.

I am not sure how many people use the spacers. You might get more feedback on that subject. I switched all my stuff around yesterday and only took about a half an hour. But that was because I flipped my rear tires too because of wear.
