Thanks to you guys and gals i just ordered a 13 tooth front sprocket! I noticed that the 700xx seemed to be geared a little high for me. I live in the mountains and ride a lot of tight and steep trails. I'm hoping this mod. will help me to lug threw some of those tight spots without having to use alot of clutch? I'm not worried about the loss in top end, because i don't race and need more of the power down low. I ordered the sprocket from renthal. Hope it holds up pretty good. It should be here in a couple days then i'll be putting it on! Suppose to be nice this week also and can't wait to see how much difference it will make!

The 13T is one of the best and cheapest mods you can do. It makes a world of a difference. Hope your happy with it. I'm thinking of going to the 12T now.

The Renthal will probably outlast your chain and rear sprocket. Wise choice.

I was amazed the difference it made. I was yelling look no clutch no clutch when going through the rocky crawls where as before I was always feathering it!!

I added the Big 3...I could really tell it came alive. I then changed the sprocket to a 13t...it was like I gave it a shot of NOS....it really pulls hard now !! I can say it was a good 10 bucks spent !!

Hey guys i got my 13t renthal sprocket today. got it put on but now i'm having trouble getting the bolts loose so i can adjust the chain. Can someone offer me some help please?

HaHa! Thanks smooth! Well after breaking a craftsman 1/4" drive socket! I moved to a 1/2" and that gotter! Just got it all buttoned up and gonna take her for a ride. Will report back in a little while!

well it's definately got more bottom end now! I guess i should be taking it easy on it? Still on the first tank of gas. But it'll wheelie pretty easy now. at least when it hooks up and doesnt spin the rear tires.

Just installed my 13t sprocket today, had a similar problem, had to buy a torque ratchet and 1/2" drive 24mm socket. Couldn't get that damn nut to come loose without the torque ratchet.

I wouldn't recommend doing burnouts or pond skimming but you can ride it normally.

I don't think i'll be doin any skimming any time in the future... Near or far!
I wonder if it'll get a little more power once it breaks in and loosens up a bit?
