Sad news lost a young rider at my local rideing spot of haspen achers
He was 12 years old found pinned under a 4x4 utility quad no parents to be found
My opinion is someone need to tell the parents thats why we dont let young kids out alone at a place like that

Dang, sooo sorry to hear this...We were there a couple weekends ago and someone was badly hurt on the MX track. Was wondering if that person was okay...

that is sad. last summer a 50 year old man got killed riding a 4x4 atv at a riding park in south alabama.

It's bad enough when we loses anybody in the riding community, but a Kidhno: 12 years old he's life had just begun. That is horrible

Local boy killed in ATV accident

LAUREL, IN (FOX19) - Officials are investigating an incident where a Cincinnati boy was killed in an ATV accident Saturday afternoon.
Indiana Emergency personnel were called the Haspin Acres off- road and motorcross park for a report of an accident.
According to an Indiana Conservation officer on the scene, 12-year-old Jared Douglas was found in a ravine with an ATV on top of him by family members. The child had left the campsite on the ATV to get some firewood. When he did not return in a timely manner, the family went to search for him
Douglas suffered major head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is currently being investigated by the Indiana Conservation Officers and Franklin County Sheriff's Department.

who the hell sends a 12 year old out to get firewood alone ive rode in haspin many times and it is NOT a place to sent a young boy out on his own. as an experianced rider i dont go out alone there. simply because its unsafe u never know what could happen all it takes is one wrong. ive seen many people pulled outta there by the ambulance.

It's a sad event, this kind of stuff happens all the time. I'm sure the parents are devastated by this and the choice to let him go will haunt them forever. It's simply a tragedy and I know I'll be thinking about the family and also learning from this so I can try to avoid the same loss.
