i'm using a macbook pro15 (better size to transport) and an Imac 24 3.2 both with 4 gigs of ram.
If i could have found a 15" unibody, thats what I would have bought, but I got a HELL of a deal on this 17", I couldn't turn it down. It's notmuch bigger than the 15 either.i'm using a macbook pro15 (better size to transport) and an Imac 24 3.2 both with 4 gigs of ram.
I've got that on my Toshiba Satellite and it seems to run pretty good. Could have bought 4 of the Toshibas for the price of my Apple though... that was the hard part of buying this thing.PC here running Vista 64Bit, No Negative side effects either. Anyone else run it? I've heard a million people b1tch about it but its flawless for me???
I think thats part of what makes a Mac a Mac. The software is made by the people that make the hardware so they can't mess it up, crash, have bugs... i'm pretty new to this, but I can't imagine not having bugs - maybe cause i'm a PC user. lolYeah I have a hard time justifying the cast of those. Kinda like only being able to by PC's from Microsoft. IMO Apple would be a lot more prolific if they didn't rein their platforms in like they do.
I think i'm going to try to get my Dad one. Less visits through LogMeIn.com lolHonestly though, if I were to pick a laptop for my wife (and have the money) it would ultimately be the Mac, it does everything she needs right out the box and would have a LOT less chance of getting screwed up by mal-ware and other things that fudge PC's all up.
there is only a 10% premium on the price for a mac with comparable specs... what people dont see ..is they are actually about 40% cheaper after a couple years of ownership... how does one come to that conclusion you may ask...I think i'm going to try to get my Dad one.
