Well
I decided to head towards http://www.northernoutdoors.com/

Just watch Dirt Trax on Outdoor channel and it looks like fun.

They have multiple trails and their resort looks great, prices are reasonable. It's a long haul but hey! you only live once. Should be there August 20-23

Just waiting for confirmation.

If there are some riders in that area, let me know and we could meet up.

I encourage anyone who can to meet up with Joe.... I am sure Joe will have aerial maps in plastic just in case it rains, what a great tour guide... thanks for making Sunday interesting next time lets do it without all the rain!
I for one will be better setup next time it rains, I'm getting some Gore-Tex rain gear so let it rain. Oh! Yeah! Already have the Maine's local atv map, it's on their web site which is real nice

Hey

Joe,
I keep forgetting this is you LOL.

Gore-tex was really pricey, let me know how it breathes, I may buy a set eventually, although the walmrt specials hold up really nicely.

Made my reservation today and will be staying at the lodge, wish that someone else could have come so we could have reserve a cabin instead but hey! that's life.

One thing that sucks is Maine requires our bikes to be registered in their state even though we are registered in ours, this is totally bs and will send both State AG a complaint about it. We shouldn't need to do so.

Registration Fees

Well spoke to the wildlife department and there's no way around about registration and the cost is $69. Talk about expensive. So I sent a note to their governor;
Dear Sir
Last night while watching Dirt Trax promote your state for great atv trail system, I thought about changing my vacation plans from West Virginia to your state but when I found out that I would need to register all 4 atv to your state at a cost $69 per vehicle, decided to spend my money in West Virginia where they accept my Pennsylvania registration. I can understand charging us out of state rider a permit fee like other states do for a lesser charge but I shouldn't need to register my vehicle in your state when it's already register in my state. I belong to many ATV forums and write blogs about my excursion and will informed my fellow atver about the registration fees which are excessive for a week's vacation in your state. Guess that your state must be one of the lucky ones where it does not need money from outsiders. Could have spent that money in the local community where we were suppose to stay but not now. I would suggest to have it setup where if your vehicle is register in their respective state then they should just purchase a permit for a lesser fee.
Am very disappointed.

Let me know what you think and perhaps you should send him a note at this address;
