1. Remove end cap
2. Remove muffler from bike
3. Drill out rivets on rear of muffler (not the end cap end) and save steel bands
4. Grasp the non end cap end of pipe and tap on the upper mounting bracket to drive the outer housing off of the core (only the perforated part comes out of the end cap end not the ring where the spark arrestor goes)
5. Repack core
6. Reinstall outer housing with new rivets (3/16"X1/4"long) and old steel bands
7. Clean end of head pipe and muffler with very fine scotch brite and spray end of headpipe with WD40 then heat end of muffler with propane torch and quickly reassemble.
