Why isn't this the most popular quad ever produced? I'm serious. Honda deserves a round of applause for building this thing.
Went for a quick ride up in the mountains this afternoon. I'm sold on this IRS. I hit an easy rated atv/Jeep trail. I was just flat out flying through the trees. Articulated erosion spots, boulders, roots whatever it was so comfortable. I went on to a couple of spur trails that were so rough that I wouldn't have even considered it on my Raptor. The XX did awesome.
My only two dissapointments at this point is 1. You can't lug this motor like the Raptor. Even in first gear you have to be rolling fairly quick or the motor just dies. 2. Reverse is way too freaking high of a gear. I don't need to do 20mph in reverse.
Closing statement: I loved my Raptor and am glad I owned it, but I will never go back after riding the XX. This is my future here. I wish the rest of the world knew how awesome this machine is. Then we would have way more aftermarket support.
