It was an enduro race with 2 large timed loops of 100 miles, 2 mountain fast timed sections and 2 extreme timed sections in between, this was part of one of the extreme sections. They made us go over 20 inch logs, truck tires, a loooooonnnnggggg mountain trail then come back to the mud pit near the end. Here are some pics of the stuff they made us go through:

I didn't do too well, placed 5th. I hadn't gotten on the quad since november and trained only 2 weeks before so my stamina was crap. And yep, I had to drive my raptor over those, quite a challenge! The first one I took on bumped me back 5 ft because I did not lift my front wheels enough.

Do you have any idea why the guy on the can am duct taped his front bumper? 1st I thought hey thats a differant looking bumper, then I noticed it was just wraped in tape.

Yeah he did it because it protects the radiator from being splashed with mud so it doesn't overheat easily. At least that's what he said, beats me if it really works

Yea thats the reason. Look at any of the pros in a muddy gncc race and they will all look like that.
