Jdove1,
With the present modifications to your XX engine and exhaust did you have to make any changes to the EFI mapping and air intake? After you install the piston, what other upgrades will you do such as head work and suspension?
Thanks,
Sid

I have a question, are you losing ground in the straights, or exiting corners. Swaybar will let you go into and come out of corners faster. If your losing going through the gears need more motor/gear/tires.

I got the 700xx to turn like a 450r and it does very well against most 450's. I can compete on most race disciplines and hold my own and get good results.

MX is something I have tried and also is the hardest to set the 700xx up for. The weight and balance put you at a disadvantage from the "start gate".
It can be done and I am trying to build something to compete on equal terms with the 450's but this is gunna take some time.

The key ,I have found is get the suspension and handling first then go for more power.:D

i wouldnt do either.

ive been mobbing the holy hell out of mine in stock form BUT it takes an unusual riding style to get the job done. a set of front shocks is on my wish list as about the only thing i would change as far as suspension. ive NEVER felt a better stock shock that is on the rear of my XX...oh and tires when the stock ones are gone :D
