Just spent the last hour reading former threads. Looking for updated and specific guidance. I have a multiday ride next weekend and need an extremely durable tire. I just went out to check over the XX and found a flat rear stocker and a low front stocker. They had been holding air fine. I am confident that I heard when they were damaged last ride. A pretty good rock clunk that I noticed. Sure enough it did damage.
I ride extremely rocky terrain at high speed.
I don't care about mud performance. I need long tread life and extreme flat resistance. After reading all the other threads I'm thinking I may have pinched the sidewall instead of a surface puncture.
I would like to stay at 22" but will do 20" if it guarantees better durability. For reference, I have went through a fourth of the stock tires tread in four days of riding. Holy shit right!
So it looks like my choices are:
22" Kutters
22" Razr
20" Razr 2's
20" Xrecs
