I typically pack up and carry to Burning Rock in WV or Hatfield. I have 20,000 acres of hunt club behind my neighborhood so in the summer I run over there nightly but hunting season is way to dangerous. Northern neck is also available but small in size. They did run a VXCS race there last year.

I am new to this site as well and i am from Richmond va . Have you guys ridden at Busco Beach in North Carolina ? Its a fun trip and its only 3 hours from where i live ?

Busco is where I ride now....the only other place that I know of legally is slades park but it sucks so I will not go back there...I would love to get up to hatfields, and hope to this spring/summer, I will have to keep posted for the june trip.

Yeah , Busco is fun and its not too far away for me . I have gone to Hatfield MCcoy a couple of times etc.. Its fun riding down the road and going to the trails without having to worry about being bothered

What type of riding is aval. in Busco beach? We lost all of our riding places last year & Slades is close, but not that exciting or challenging.. I do want to go to Hatfields this year with my son..Looking forward to meeting some you out on trails

slades has a nice drag strip, but other than that it is a joke, Busco is about 1900 acres of land surrounded by the neuse river, it is mostly hard pack with some areas of sand as it is a old sand quarry with a very clean lake/pond in the center, it has a groomed drag strip and ample trails/mud holes to ride in along with 2 MX tracks, full hook up sites for campers, snack bar, showers and a bike shop for basic work and an EMT on the weekends, I really enjoy it there and the people are great, I just wish it was closer to me....takes me about 3 hours to get there, which could be worse.

I wasn't that happy with SLades park either . Granted , its closer to me but there isn't a whole lot there and i liked Busco Beach Better .
