Just bought New/used (80miles) 700xx, come from 2 wheels... Love the power and the irs. No need to boost performance (on tight budget) yet. But would like to know some low hanging inexpensive upgrades that anyone would recommend?? Air filter, nerf bars, hand guards, that kind of thing. Hope I posted this correctly.. Great site... Love my new toy!! From Oregon, ride mostly dirt but now with quad will hit dunes more often..

Welcome to the site and the xx world. As far as more cost effective upgrades, switching to the 13t sprocket helps a lot. That would be my first upgrade and its cheap.

Here are a couple to search for. Reverse limiter removal. If you bought brand new there is a link on things to double check. Get a new air filter, supposedly factory ones cage is real restricting. Lot of peple dropped to a 13t for tighter trails. Might look into l8ton sway bar.

Thanks everyone, I went for the uni airfilter, the 13t sprocket and yes I too ordered the $85 Alba's for now. Hit'n the dirt next weekend and the dunes the weekend after that, cant wait..

I ride mostly @ Baber Mt. there is a poker run there next weekend 3/20/11. Check it out on Facebook or @ mtbaberatvclub.com. Then next weekend camping at Honeyman State Park in Florence. Cant wait to get my second ride in next weekend.

Got Nerfs installed, installation went smooth. New Uni airfilter and service kit received and ready for trip to dunes next weekend. Install 13t front sprocket tonight for mud run on Sunday.

sounds like we might end up riding the winchester bay dunes. not sure yet, my friends are planning it, im just gonna go where they go. I still have to get it on a dyno this week, to get the fuel right after all the mods i just installed. I will let u know if we end up in florence after all.
