Hello Everyone,
Just picked up my 2008 700xx hold back. Im almost 22 and have been riding since i was 5. I started with a Suzuki 80, then went to a yamadonkey blaster 200, then i took it upon myself to take over my grandpas 400ex when i was about 16. About a couple months ago i went to buy a utility quad and after riding my buddy's raptor 700 i decided i couldnt make the switch. Thats when i seen my 700xx. Now shes in my garage. Theres nothing ive ever rode that compares to the 700xx. I put skid plates underneath the whole thing. I just bought a full HMF Competition series exhaust, HMF optimizer, and K&N Filter. I plan on buying the Chivalry bumper, nerf bars (suggestions?), holeshot GNCC tires, new wheels (suggestions?), headlight black out kit, warning label blackout kit, and i was also thinking about a colored chain just for looks. We do upholstery work so im going to recover my seat in something wild like nile croc or snake skin. Any more suggestions for making my 700 run or look better?

Welcome Chris... It looks like you're off to a pretty good start with your mods so far.

As for nerfs... I'd suggest staying away from Pro Armor... just for fitment issues experienced by some members here. I use PRM sided bars (floor pan instead of netting) but they do make some good nerfs (available in 7 powder coat colors and 4-5 net colors) see link below.

I'd also recommend a good steering stabilizer (damper)... There are 3 that will fit our bike. Elka, Precision and my choice for best bang for buck CCP at about 1/3 the cost of the others. You can get the CCP off eBay... but better is a link direct to the maker that (dagirl71) has.

Gearing for our bike is a little tall so you might want to look at a 13t front sprocket rather than the stock 14t... cheap and easy mod. The 13t listed for a later model 450r fits our bike.

The shocks on our quad are not very good... but there are quite a few options for upgrading.... check our the forum's suspension section for ideas.

The steering stabilizer can be found on eBay Motors... but that is a re-seller. Nikki has an email for the maker at $25.00 less and free shipping... same part.
She's posted the email before in the CCP Steering Stabilizer thread, I think.

welcome to the club,
the 13t gives you more torque and shorter gears shifting faster. you do lose some top end however. wheels are still dificult basically there is itp t-9 rims and douglas red lables. if money is not problem omf or hiper make beadlocks but they are spendy. tires everyone here really likes the maxxis razrs and kenda cutters along with a few others. hope that helped

The CCP steering stabilizer is on eBay from the maker (the guy from Detroit Lakes, MN)... not the guy from CT... that's the reseller. This other guy sells the same part for $25.00 more plus charges for shipping.
