Where is the race? I might consider if it's not too far!

I would say parts wise... nothing except maybe extra gas... idk how long the race is... just go out there and ride it out, have fun, and get a first hand glimpse at what racing is about... as far as gear, I'd say your basics... boots, helmet, gloves and at least a chest protector... the rest is up to you!

I have ran this whole season with helmet, boots, and gloves and a camleback so not much hallet is a fairly smooth course from what I've been told so it should be a blast just to come out and ride no one ever said you had to kill yourself to race you can just come out play around and at the end of the day if you place it makes it all even better
I don't go balls out I usually stay steady and we have placed every race we have entered so far

I do plan on getting a chest protector and a neck brace for next year because we will have to step it up to be competitive with the B class

What size boots you wear I seen a new pair of 12s on the okc craigslist also cyclegear has some for like 80

Bakter this is a grand prix/xc style race only 1.5 miles are on the pavement the other 7.5 is woods and dirt

And I'm sure oklahoma is a ways from where you guys will be at but if you do come this way it would be cool to meet some of you guys

You would be suprised , what you could win on a good set of road tires.
If I hadn't seen it for myself I would never believed it.
Top 40 best riders in the UK line up on a badly watered ,dusty Mx track and there is one guy on Goldspeed road tires. Also the start was on long grass.
He won by 20 seconds . I have them with me everytime I race but not brave enough to put them on ! :D

I am dying to try them , If it is dry this Sunday , now or never !
And there 18", cool.

If it wasn't for the two big reasons I would do it. A 22 hour drive is way to far, and I have a local race that weekend haha. I wish I could though. Sounds awesome. I'd team w/ you Scuzz, even though I'd rather do it myself (not that there is an I in my team, but I like big challenges).

Oh, and 1.5 miles isn't bad at all for pavement, I think in hatfield we came like 12 miles on the roads back one day haha, rzrs love it lmao.

I'd get fox goggles, I have had good luck w/ them not letting in dust and stuff, plus you can get tear offs that come off easy so you aren't hassling with it, a good pair of boots, and maybe a throttle/thumb assist as this will tire you out hardcore (unless you like twist throttles like I do).

you know baxter I thought about getting some for this track but I dont think it will be wide enough

crwh45 its not the 1.5 miles of pavement that has me worried about my tires its the hairpin turns on that pavement that has me worried lol
