I recently acquired a 09' 700, the quad has been neglected and poorly stored, it has its original tires that have nearly full depth tread.so this quad I believe has low hours, My problem is that in the past it evidently has had a overheating problem, I will post pictures and invite your suggestions on what to look for. I will have to replace the rear fender, rear
master cylinder cover, air filter box and rear exhaust heat shield. I drove it around the block in my neighborhood and the
heat generated from the exhaust pipe on my inner rt. leg seemed excessive. What could be causing this?

I did find a Mud dobber nest in the spark arrestor! It wasn't fully blocking the exhaust but probably enough to cause the problem

Hi, check the termostat !!!!!!!!
It open if work properly, and
lets the water go radiator,
and cool it.
If it does not open, after the engine has reached the ideal temperature,
about 88 degrees if I remember correctly,
the water circulates almost only in the engine,
and very little in the radiator,
and everything gets very hot,
I have removed it!
Because this also causes rapid degradation of the oil,
(in my opinion)
but I still have to try, how is it going,
my engine is still disassembled!
