I talked a while back about doing some Xtreme cylinder head modification to twist some real power out of this Honda engine like is done on the Raptor 700. Ive started:
Its in Phase II at the moment(3 more to go lol)

Took me a day and a half to this point so its about like porting a 54mm intake port for a Raptor so far but not so much in the next coming phases.
The left side port is 80% were it needs to be and the right side port was just started on, about 25% done.

Looks like this could be one of the best upgrades for xx owners wanting big hp. Can't wait to see the final product and do a compare against the ported +1mm xx head. Thanks Bo for all the the time your putting into this.

Are you going to post dyno sheets when you're done? Can't wait to see the end result. How long till your machine is back together?

BTW, this thing may have +4 intake valves when its done.....besides, its gonna have a +10 TB feeding it.

I'm still running my current setup it will be tore down after my next race. I don't expect to have it back together anytime soon. I got lots of chassis work to do besides engine work. When it is done the person that builds the exhaust will be dynoing it and tuning it. I will definatly post dyno sheets. I'm as curious as anyone to see what the hp will be.

Well, time to take it to my welding buddy for Phase III:

The intake porting is 80% done so when I get it back Ill finish it up and get to work on the machine work. This port isnt were my Raptor port is(even after Im done) but its close. This is as far as you can take a XX/XR intake port(as you can see I broke through on the divider).

Valve sizes will be 39mm intake/33 exhaust. Stock for the XX is 36mm/32mm.

I would never laugh.....it ain't like I've never been beat before.....but the XX is no slouch, this head will really help level the playing field some. I would like to ride with some of you guys one day....then you can laugh at me when I get stuck and you have to pull me out.
