An afternoon of total frustration.....PRICELESS!!!!

Dump every tool you own into a pile in the yard. Kick pile all over the place.

Remove all stock parts and hardware...Discarde..(you will need the bolts later, But you don't know that now.)

Open new parts, Carefully arrange all new hardware..( You won't need most of this and important stuff is missing, But you don't know that yet either...)

Search through boxes for installation instructions....HA HA there are none

Make sure there are no, children, women or small animals within hearing or throwing range..
Let the fun commence...............!!!!

Well I did manage to get it all put on and it does fit well and look good.
Missing one of the plastic mounts, will have to call Monday and have it sent to me...
The side bars mount directly to the front engine mount and this sends a lot of vibration to the pegs..
The skid pans do not have the "foam" insulating pads, so you will hear the vibration and they tend to echo engine noise.

Anybody need some stock 700xx parts??? Free!!!

Do you have fuel hose or clear tubing on all of the bolts holding the main skid pan to the frame? If not, cut some pieces long and large enough to go over the bolts, between the mounts and the skid pan and that will stop the vibration stuff. I have all of the same stuff on mine and this really helped.

Also, PRM is good quality stuff. I tagged a tree today at around 25mph and the bumper took all of the damage, none to the frame mounts.

Hey 1200, I'm actually returning my front bumper, I sent them pics of that weld that basically tore like paper, and they refused to cover it and literally recommended I return it and just get a refund. so I talked to the CSM at Pro Armor and got a deal on their front bumper for when it comes out in November. I'm incredibly disappointed with PRM right now (ripshit) actually. Anyways, the plastics mount that I think you're talking about that's missing. If you're talking about the one for the sidebars. there is one on the left side that bolts to the peg, they decided not to make anything for the right side b/c the brake lever mounts opposite of what the gear lever does, so it wouldn't fit. they claim the plastics are "structurally sound" without it, and so far I'd have to agree with them. and that vibration is pretty brutal, but having the sidebars on greatly outweighs the annoyance from it.
Oh yeah, Brian said he saw you out on our side of the tracks today, not sure if you'll be around tommorow, but if the rain stops in the morning like it's supposed to, we'll probably be out there for a couple hours trying to make some new trails.
Yea, Party, I was out sat afternoon and then Sunday my girl and I packed a lunch and went out for awhile. Did not see ya, but we were back home by 1:00 as I had to leave for New York.

I'm hopping those welds that failed on your bumper were a fluke. Aluminum is tricky to weld as it needs to be very clean and the most common cause of weld cracking like yours is, dirty base metal.
I've got almost $900 dollars worth of there parts on my ride, if stuff starts failing I will not be pleasant to deal with.
I'm gonna try the rubber hose trick to stop the skid pan vibration / noise.
The side bars I'll get used to pretty guick....
Everything looks really good on it, do any of the skids hit going across the tracks? I went out to the moon pretty much right at 1 on Sunday and was out there for a couple hours, perfect day for riding.
Those nerfs with the flat heel guards look like dirt catchers to me? I put my nerfs off my 450R straight on as they mount onto the rear of the front A-Arms and you don't get any Vibration!
Looks like very clean Quad tho!
Must have just missed ya, Party. No they don't hit at all going across the tracks....But I go real gental...we got to figure out a better way or place to cross???
T-rex, the rear mount is not the problem, it's the front mount that bolts to the engine mount. They are slopped pretty steep so they don't collect dirt..But the first time you spin the tires in reverse and the rocks hit them it will jump the @#$&#@ right out off ya.
"zx1200r", that is what I want my quad to look like. I will get my bike tomorrow. I think it is the first street leegal TRX700XX in the world:yay:

Who said anything about a warranty issue involving a crash?
sorry i was stuck on the other post what caused the weld to rip like paper
I'm honestly not even sure, but at the welds they just sheared apart, 1200R thought it was just a dirty weld or something, I really don't know anything about the stuff. I thought I had posted pictures of them up here, I'll have to find them later on and put them in the thread.
sounds like they need to fire the welder.
