Not sure if this is the right place to post this? My gf rolled our 420 rancher last weekend My question is is there anything i need to do to the quad? There was a lot of oil in the air box i took out the spark plug and it had some oil on the threads. It did start and run good enough to get back to the truck. Bent handle bars have been fixed. Should I change oil, replace spark plug is there anything I need to do? Thanks for the help

i'm not sure, but about 2 years ago, i half killed myself and my 350 rancher because of a blowout on a asphault road. me and the fourwheeler were tore up really bad, it flipped at least ten times, but as soon as i got up, i flipped it back over, and it cranked right back up. i got it back to the house went to the ER and got bandaged up from head to toe, got home and bent the frame and plastics back right and i can still go outside right now and itll crank right up and ride just like it did before all that.....so with that bein said, i guess it'll be ok, i never even thought of checkin none of that out, but i probably need to i guess. lol

Glad to hear youre alright that sounds pretty bad. We were riding on a pretty narrow and badly rutted up trail had a four foot drop to a lake on one side and a six foot drop down to a really rough landing. We had just came through some mud and she got over to close to the dry side of the trail and off they went. I was up ahead a little ways when she didnt come up the trail I headed back. She was laying on her side yelling for me and the rancher was upside down on the bars. Naturally I assumed the worst for her, fortunately she had only a badly busted up toe. I flipped the rancher back over hooked up the tow strap to the 700 and with a little steering from her pulled the rancher up out of there. She was real shook up but luckily for the most part ok.

well definatly wrong section but i dont think you should have any problems

most atvs have a vent for the crankcase that leeds to the airbox so that is how the oil got in there not a big deal

as for the sparkplug having oil on it it depends on how much got in the firing chamber usually its not enough to cause damage and it will burn off naturally
