Yea same here I tried to view this yesterday. A friend of mine just got the 2012 Renegade 1000x Xc. it is bad ass. It has 82hp at the crank! He had the 800 for a couple years I think it was 71hp at the crank.

Here's picture of the new 1000.

And here's one of his old 800 next to my Trx700

M Quick,
1000CC, Wow!! that has got to be a monster. Kinda looks like a crossover. I'll bet it is a lot heavier then the 700XX. I'ld like to take it for a short ride.:haha::haha::haha:Well, not too short.

I don't know what's wrong I clicked the URL and took me straight to the vid
I was looking at the Rene 1000xxc, was going to pay off my truck and finance the bike but found the Honda and the price difference is what really made the decision since the Honda was basically new. Couldn't justify spending what I did on my truck for a fourwheeler, still they are some bad bikes

Anyway in the vid the xx and the Rene with two races were basically ties but think I could've pulled away with more distance

Yea monster is right. it has 12" ground clearance and fox podiums on all 4 corners. Supposed to do over 100mph from factory. And yea is sorta a cross over cause its 4x4 sport. He asked me if I thought I could keep up with him now. And I told him on the trails I'd out maneuver the shit out of him. But I'm not for sure, I used to smoke him on the 800. But the 1000x xc has the fox shocks, and a 3 stage power steering unit, supposed to adjust automatic to riding conditions! So that may help him maneuver that 687 lbs dry weight beast.
But I'm pretty sure that 13k payment he will be way behind me and my $4500 Trx700.

The 1000s and the 800s are electronically limited to a true 78mph, unless you mod them thats all your going to get.

My rider group that used to be nearly all raptors has changed to all renegades, but me who has the only 2wd in the form of the trx..
they do not do 100mph... they do not blow away a raptor or honda..
All our quads are road legal so no problems with grip/friction etc when drag racing on road!
The raptor and xx will beat a 800, around 40mph the two sports quads will significantly start pulling away.. they all top out around 74-78 on average (stock)
The 1000 rene is not really much faster, just more power for hauling that "larger" rider around, or pulling through the clingy mud !
For gnarly trails the renegade is arm chair riding compared to the hondas "seat of your pants" when giving it 100%, but far less fun !

Pic has 12 renes, two commanders, a trx xx and a xr !

IDK about that cause last year his 800 past me and I was at 79mph. He said his speedo said 86?

Stock for stock the 700xx is faster than the 800 can-ams I know because my buddy had a stock outlander 800 and I had the stock 700xx at the same time. The outlander will be a little faster off the start to mid range but above that I would start to haul away from him.

How does Honda make 53 hp faster than 71hp?

Plus its shaft drive and steep angle of uj joints which all eat up valuable hp !
Well I dunno but will be sure to have my gopro with me the 1st time I ride with this guy and his 1000X xc. Here's a picture I took the other night, while visiting to help him swap out the radiator in his truck.

Yea, I was thinking we had some biased opinions in here. If you work at a dealership, do you know what they claim top speed of the 1000X xc is? This guy told me his came with 2 keys, black and a gray one. And said the gray automatically limits the power to 60%. is there truth to this? Seams wack to me, cause it has a thumb screw, but might be true. And they have all four of the preload rings adjusted almost all the way down? I asked him about that, and he said they didn't ask weight or riding terrain. Just sold it to him like it was on the floor. And not sure if you can tell but the hand guards are pointed way low. And they won't go to level position with out touching throttle cable, or w/out moving levers I should say.

I said it's faster than the 800s not 1000s. I never had any time with the 1000s so I don't know which ones faster. I would think the 1000 is faster than the xx though based on the 800 not being that much slower. I love Honda but I'm not biased, just sharing my experiences.
