I have just started riding quads and am interested in beginning to race them. I don’t know where to get started. I live in San Jose, CA and am interested in anything but MX racing. Enduro and Hare Scrambles interest me the most. Any help would be much appreciated. Also I am new to this board and have enjoyed everything that I have read, thanks for saving my *$$ so many times with the helpful advise.

I am also looking to start racing a bit and like you, don't really care for MX all that much. I plan on doing some of the WORCS races in 2011. This is a 9 race XC series that is in 3 states... CAL, NV and AZ... OK, there is one race in Olympia, WA. I have found that we are rather limited to the WORCS series if you want to run XC here in Cal... for now. The AMA District 36 does have a more local XC series (Central and Northern Cal), but is limited to dirt bikes only... for now. My friends and I are currently working with them to add quads to at least some of the events.
BTW - I'm in SF and ride Hollister all the time with my friends. You are most welcome to ride with us any time... or post where YOU want to ride and we may join you.

Sorry it took me so long to reply my computer has been broken, I would really enjoy riding with others. I am out at hollister at least one day if not both on weekends and also ride metcalf and carnegie. Just let me know the next time you are planning to head out there and I will come find you. Thanks for the advise about the racing. I looked into the circut and noted that there is one in Millford in May. I think that I will go and try that to see how I like it. Thanks again.

I plan on heading out to Hollister Sunday 3/14 and will be parked by the store at Lodge Camp and will probably be riding with 2,3, or 4 of my regular riding buddies. You are most welcome to ride with us. I drive a silver 2007 Chevy 2500 and my 700xx will have Elka shocks... by then.
Right now, I'm trying to get over pneumonia, so no riding for me this weekend. But next weekend is another story.

all my times at hollister hills and i have naver seen another 700xx. i did get challenged by a yfz 450 my first time out with mine when it was bone stock he got pulled bad and had a pipe at least
