Well I just got back from Hatfield With Da girl and Nash. While we were riding we smelt radiator fluid from my bike. When I got hoe today I power washed it down and started it. Looks like I have a pin hole in the center of my radiator. Has anyone had any issue's with this. Luckily there is no damage around it and it should be covered under the warranty.

Not sure if they will cover a hole in the radiator, If they don't you can get it fixed for cheap.

Smo0oth,
Its a pin hole, not a hole like something hit it. Its in the center on the front of the radiator and if something had hit it, it would have damaged the fan that sits over it. Hopefully it will be covered, if not what would you recommend as the cheap fix? I am assuming not to buy a new radiator over a small pin hole?

Thanks,
CJ

You may be able to convince them it was a defective radiator, Even if they don't cover it any shop can braze it for under twenty bucks. If your sure nothing hit it I would be firm with them that the radiator was defect when you purchased it.

Smo0oth,
Thanks for the advice. The bike was actually a DEMO unit for the local dealership for about 11 months before I purchased it. I am going to be extremely firm with them regarding it must be a defect.

The dealer didn't think that HONDA would warranty it. So I am gonna send the radiator pics to HONDA and fight for the 300 back. I just finished replacing the radiator myself.. What a nightmare it was. I wound up freeing the oil tank and fuel pump/filter for clearance. Put the new one in and ran it. Seems like it is working and fan came on as well. The worst part was figuring out how to run the dam siphon tube from the coolant reservoir. It took forever to figure out from the pics exactly how it runs LOL. FYI... Look at how that is run prior to trying this.

A note if any body tries this.
If you remove the fuel pump. Do not tilt it sideways , as it contains about 1/2 litre of fuel . This will pour allover you pants and garage floor.

So I am very upset with how Honda and the dealer work our warranty out. I took the bike to the shop. They looked at it and said that Honda does not warranty out any radiator claims. I replaced it myself and called HONDA. They said that I have to work it out with the dealership and the dealership should have called them regarding this issue. So I explained that the dealership advised me that I would have to pay for them to replace it and they wer eno longer willing to try to warranty it out. However Honda will not accept any pics or the old radiator to inspect and see if they agree its defective. SO basically there dealer doesn't have to do cr*p and can force you to pay for the repair. Honda even said they don't have a retail license so can not deal with a customer.

I had a issue on an old Yamaha, the dealer wouldn't warranty out a part because they said it was my fault and not defective. I mailed the part directly to yahmahha and after they tested it they advised it was due to a bad batch of parts they had recieved and paid the claim directly to me.

I guess Honda doesn't care to ensure there dealers are doing there jobs properly.
