Has anybody ran just an FMF programmer? I was thinking of starting with one just to get the stock mixture better and see how it does. Especially here in Calif, things seems to run so lean. Also in reading some people are saying to read the O2 sensor voltage to get a correct mixture. What reading should i see and would it cross count similar to cars? I don't even have a manual yet and would get one before, so just throwing out ideas., Thanks, lew, slimedog

The XX doesn't have an O2 sensor to get a reading from. There is nothing wrong with running just a programmer, It will help even without other upgrades. If you buy a dobek style controller you should consider the Alba or EHS. I had the FMF and wasn't happy with it.

I thought all the dobek controllers were the same. My FMF has worked flawless.

I'm using just the PC5(I'm sure anything would be an improvement) right now and it's helped alot. No more popping and stalling, and it feels much stronger under acceleration. I will eventually get a full exhaust and the autotune. The only other "performance" mod I have is the 13 tooth sprocket.

I'm surprised they run so lean from the factory. I'll start mine and it will shut off, I'll have to restart it. I can't lug the engine nearly as much as my 400ex.

the hardware may be similar but the programming is what makes them stand apart. EHS I know will custom set up the controller for you, I don't know about Alba but you could call and speak with them. Eric at EHS can explain in detail about the differances I would call him.910-997-2345
