Has anyone here tried to cut an inch or two off their aftermarket slip-on? In the street world this is common to gain bottom-end. I have also seen the motocross racers do this for the same result. Thoughts?

Im not sure how much power is gained down low, or if any is lost anywhere else, but they sure do get louder.
