Well, I have to replace my cam and i'm a firm believer in replacing stock items with upgrades. So since i'm going to do this and my quad is stock (again and for now) I was thinking about going with a stage 2 cam and in the future, putting the big 3 back on. What do you guys think about running the stage 2 cam on stock EVERYTHING (exhaust, intake, tuning) till I mod the quad more?
Or should I just go back with a stocker?
Description: New Hotcams exhaust cam part# 1135-2
Stage 2: single-cam motor. Stage 2 similar low end power to OEM cam and increased power above 5,000 RPM. Better suited for engines that have intake and exhaust modifications as well as mild engine modifications. Uses stock valve springs and rockers.
