I know they make steel wheels for utility quads and 4x4s, but has anyone heard of sport quads running steel wheels in the back? My big ass and North Texas / OKlahoma rock tend to keep me at the campsite with bent rear wheels and ripped sidewalls. Second time this month.

If steel is not an answer, any suggestions on a good aftermarket wheel that proves themselves on the trails with rock and roots?? 10s or11s?? I can bend the stock 11"s by sneezing. Thanks, NorthTexXX

My choice would be OMF wheels. You can get them with inner and outer reinforcing rings. They start with the DWT Red Label wheel (.190) and add the reinforcing rings. You can also get them in black powder coated.

I just wish that Hyper would make a rim for our quad... they do for our fronts, but not for the rears. Carbon fiber beadlocks and guaranteed for life... no questions asked.

I have the OMF wheels with the reinforced rings and they are indestructable. Dont waste your time with the ITP wheels they fold like envelopes

Roadkill, Hiper does make a 10'' rear wheel specifically for the 700... Food for thought
I talked to a guy that bought a pair of Hiper's , the rim was a 10x9 with something like 3:6 offset. he said they were way to wide to race.

That's why I tried to make 8" and 9" rims fit on the rear. These are still narrower than the Hiper's on stock rear hubs.

I have a pair of OMF/DWT 10x8 with reinforcing ring on the outside only. They have held up well and have some dents in the rim but never let me down.

straight from Hiper

"We do make a 10” 700xx wheel which the offset is 4.5+2.5"
DWT and ITP are only 4:3 or 4:4 .
Not even I have got a 4.5 10"rim to fit on the stock rear hubs. If you have a set of either DWT or ITP's , you would know they'll never fit. I have both makes of 10" rim and posted pics on clearance to the upper a arm. There is not a 1/2" gap in either.

Yep, Hyper does make a 10" rim, but NOT an 11"... With ANY 10" rim, the offset is different (wider). Myself, I don't want my rear any wider.
