Just ran my new to me 700XX against a fully built HPD Scrambler 400 2x4. The Scrammy was quite a bit faster in the trails and at any short to medium range distance. It seemed like I might be able to reel it in but just never got enough time or distance to do it.

Those things flat haul when set up right!

the scrambler is a two stroke....depending on what was done to it, they can be very fast...I am not surprised at all. You will never keep up with a two stroke when built right.

That little 400 by HPD pulled a dyno of 57 rwhp. It has a TMX flat slide, V-Force reeds, HPD trail mod cylinder and head, HPD pipe, HPD clutch, Wiseco piston, etc....

And what a sound! Angry as hell and starts up immediately with no drama. Those guys know how to build a motor!

I had a 4x4 400 Scrambler (2 stroke) with a few HPD upgrades and yes they are fast! There much lighter and don't take much to make them really scream. I actually contacted the guy I sold it to the other day to buy it back. As Ironchef said mine started immediately and gave me no trouble, Fun bike to have!

When I was younger, my buddies dad had a Scrambler 400 4x4 with a clutch kit and DG exhaust. For how big it was, it was pretty quick and snappy.
