You can tighten the preload but that's about it.

For over a year I rode my XX with the stock suspension setup, which we all know is pretty bad at best.

I am 6'3" and approx. 220 lbs. Recently, I adjusted the front and rear shocks to about half way (same amount of threads showing-top and bottom of the adjuster). Today was my first trip to the track and the new setup is much improved. Basically, this translates to only ALMOST going over the bars twice instead of the previous dozen.

This new setup will work until I scrap enough money together to buy new Fox....all the way around.

sorry mate, but i think the best set way to set the suspension, is set them so they stand straight up in the bin so they dont take up too much room, im about 6"4 225 pounds and found that the stock suspension made me feel like a rag doll no matter what i did with it, a couple of months ago i changed to trx450 front shocks and this made a difference, but it also made it twitchier as it lowers the front end, but i couldnt find anything to do with the rears to make them better than a pogo stick, i just got my fox floats/ podium x shocks and hoping to fit them this weekend and i will let u know how they go but it is getting away from the orignal question
