I just moved here last year form Bethlehem, Pa. Everywhere you go on the outskirts of Phoenix there are areas to ride. I Pa we had a nice place by the river but it was narrow and only good for dirt bikes. Plus here in Az you can ride on the road if you have aa plate, mirror and horn. The cops don't harrass you like the do in Pa.looks like a beautiful place to ride!
Be careful about assuming the cops won't harrass you there. There's a reason the valley is filled with prisons. I know that you're only referring to ATVing, but I couldn't let that go by without saying anything. Watch your Ps and Qs if you want to stay on their good side. Hey, I like the horn. The one on my quad is yellow... Couldn't find a pink one. What can I say, I'm weird and have the marbles to ride with something silly like that. Try this one... When you come up behind someone on the trail and they don't know you're back there... honk the horn. They'll go "WTF" and look back and you'll get a safe pass.
No horn or mirrors but I don't ride much on the street. Too hard on the tires. It's usually maybe a one minute hop on the development street then another two on a main road. The Maricopa Sherriffs do patrol out there and I have no doubt that they can get aggressive. I'll keep my mouth shut and do what is asked. Being 50 I have no desire to argue with the law.really that sounds like fun! Its one of the reasons I like Hatfield that and the people of WV are so nice! so do you have a horn?
Don't ever forget Dan Lovelace. He was a Chandler cop who shot a woman in the back of the head and killed her for filling a fraudulent prescription. Best thing to do when you see a cop there is look away and remember where your gun is. I wouldn't hesitate to defend myself against those thugs down there. No horn or mirrors but I don't ride much on the street. Too hard on the tires. Having lived in AZ, I can promise you it's not the world that's crazy. It's Phoenix and its burbs. It's one seriously wild ass town, as is evident by the Dan Lovelace story.dan lovelace was a standup guy and i knew him very well he coached me thru wrestling and was my running backs coach in football.being a member of the chandler community you would know the true story that the lady was a long time criminal of chandler theft,drugs,robbery,etc..and prior to the shooting that they tried to run him over in their vehicle..and thats why he reacted like that and i dont belame him people are crazy in this town!we need more police officers like dan lovelace to protect from this crazy world.it was very unfortunate that he shot her dead but she inflicted it.
