Well, Unfortunately after reading alot of these post about how everybody loves their XX so much, I will have to wait to get one. Right now I am deployed to Iraq and counting the days until I get home so I can make a trip to Honda. I have been doing some research on my downtime between the XX and a Raptor (dont judge me) and it looks like the XX wins my vote. I have been riding off and on since I was a kid and honda hasnt failed me yet, and it doesnt sound like they will.

Ive been here about a month and have 5 more left. We are pretty busy with Indirect Fire attacks so its making the time go by pretty fast, and not to mention I get to blow stuff up quite frequently. Thats always a plus:yay:

CountryBoyEOD,
Welcome to this site. It gives me real pleasure to have the opportunity to thank you and all the other service men, women, and especially their families for the tremendous sacrifices you all make to keep this country free. I worked with EOD somewhat, before I retired from the local government facility and found them to be real dedicated and incredibly patriotic individuals. Keep up the good work and stay safe.:tup::tup:
Very Respectfully,
Sid

Welcome to the site. I echo Sid's comments. I think we are all grateful for your service and proud of all of our service people. It does not matter if we agree with the reason we are in Iraq or not. The simple fact is that we are and we all should support all of our service people. I, for one, wish you all were home and safe with your families. Remember to blow something up for us... make it go BOOM! Keep your head down and come home safe.

Thanks everyone, Its nice to know that people do care about us still. We have been pretty busy here but we are going to be blowing up about 250 lbs of stuff up soon so I will see if I can get a video of it. Once I get more free time I will get the video and some pictures together, I know how everybody likes explosions. You guys take it easy and in about 5 months I will be the proud new owner of a 700xx (its my background by the way). I cant wait :D

When you get back to Vandenberg, I'd like a chance to ride with you to welcome you back. I'm not that far from Vandenberg in San Francisco. (San Freakshow)

Sounds like a great plan roadkill. Is there many places to ride up there? Ive only been to the city once so I dont know much about that area. All I really know about is Pismo Beach. But it would be good to take some time to go riding.

Yea I bet it has slowed down alot, although we get IDF on average once a day maybe once every other day. Im ok with that though because thats job security for me. DFAC 2 is in the new building now and let me tell you its not to bad. We usually go to 1 or 4 depending on how much of the day we want to waste away. What did you do here?

Where to ride would depend on what type of riding you like to do. I do every type of riding except MX track. Pismo is killer, but usually crowded... especially holiday weekends. For Pismo, I'd recommend sand tires (rear). Here's a link for riding areas in California. Top of page you can click on "map view" and it will locate the different areas on the map. OR, you can scroll down from the original page "list view" to an area you like to check out and click "view details" and it will take you to a page with more info on that area... usually with many pics of the area.

Yea Pismo is usually crowded, well pretty much every time I took my truck down there it was. I like to do pretty much all riding, mostly trail though because that's about all we had back home. Ill have to check that site out soon, but we will definitely have to get up and go riding when i get back.
