Well I went back to Wilborn today and it was a success!
For those of you that dont know; I went to Wilborn two weekends ago and, I hurt Moose.
Me being the testosterone filled, ego maniacal man that i am; I looked at a hill that is used in the Competition Rail Buggy Hill Climb and said that Moose and I *pause and a deep breath* Got This! I made the climb by the skin of my teeth. Niether of the 2 quads i was riding with were able to make it. The quad that tried after me, flipped backwards and rolled until it came to a stop on the quad that was behind him.... Well of course, that made my head swell up with pride. After helping my friend turn his 400ex rightside and get him safely down the hill, I tell my two buds; "Ill just ride back down and be here in a sec". After scaling the damn bluff and mounting Moose, I proceed to descend the hill, BIG MISTAKE ON MY PART! I'm not really sure what happened but i ended up flying over the handle bars and turning somersaults down the hill with Moose doing the same just above me. Eventually; I was able to stop myself, and basically threw myself in front of Moose to prevent him from flipping like 50 more times.
No one was permenantly injured in this ordeal.
My Friends were fine.
I came away with a bruised rib and: 2 warped front rims, 1 warped rear rim, 1 bent lower left front A arm.
I have fixed everything except the lower left front A arm. (Its only slightly bent, and a new one is ordered)
Anyway, I told this same story to my crew at work. One guy who is a Honda XR400 rider, immediately became arrogant acting and basically told me that he could climb that hill in whatever gear I chose for him to.
I coerced him into riding with me at Wilborn and, lets just say I humbled him...
From watching him today i give him about a 7.5 outa 1-10 on rider competence. He tried "MY HILL CLIMB" 7x and was never successful! LMFAO!!!!! I wish i could simply lay my bike over when i wasn't satisfied with how a hill climb was going, like he did today (7x)!
I told my Wife last night "Ill prolly be sore Saturday, because im going to do everything within my physical power to ride the Hell outa Marcus ( He is the Honda XR400 rider!
Well, we all agreed to meet at the Dodge City Jacks Restaurant at 9:00 A.M. and planned to ride until 4:00 P.M.. Marcus packed up and left at 1:00 P.M.. Bless his heart, he was tired of eating my DUST! I smoked him.
Power to the 700!
