sweet. I had a Trans Am super charged for a while, wish I had some vids like this of it. Only Cobra I drove was my older bros when he needed to borrow my truck, it was the 04 or 03, can't remember what year, but damn for a "stock" car that thing would rip balls.

Sick what blower are you running now? How much hp.
Mine is making 700 at the block and 600rwhp with a 3 core air to air inter-cooler and a Novi 2000r, also did the solid axle swap.
Traps 135mph in the 1/4 mile on pump gas, and i drive it every day.

nice numbers!! ive been eyeballing the mach 5's or victorys for a LONNNNG time and have talked to steve about them alot. If he could get them in black chrome i would buy them tomorrow!

I stopped before i went that far. It has the factory fuel lines,cp pistons, I beam connecting rods with 60lb injectors and fr500 cams and a Teskid aluminum block. I just wanted a 10 sec. street car on pump gas. I built it before the terminators came out, it's a 2001. I would go with a turbo and a automatic if i were to do anything else, but then a roll cage is needed after 150mph on our 1/4 mile track.

So is that car called a cobra? the only cobra i know of is the ac cobra..
I, along with most europeans know nothing about american cars as they are very rare in europe.
Engines over here are getting smaller and smaller but more powerfull.
The new mercedes A45 2 litre engine will do a claimed 1/4mile in 10.2 secs, leave a porsche 911 at the lights and still achieve 40 mpg ! Pretty impressive stuff when you consider that it is less than half the hp you guys are talking !
Our issues are fuel at nearly $10 per gallon, making large engines only affordable by the wealthy.
Special exhaust systems with flaps/doors on them are used to beef up the sound of a small engine, a substitute for the V8 growl ?

hno: I feel for you, my 1st car was a v8 it was a 1970 Mercury with a 351C engine! And my old 79 truck has the same size engine in it now. My Mustang has a 281 v8, and Suburban has a 305 v8. sorry about not posting in liters, but I know there all around 5.0??? 2.5 had to be a very small v8? I know Pontiac made a big 4cyl that was a 2.4. And my v6 Firebird is a 2800 or 2.8 lt.
