If you had a STOCK bike and could only do ONE thing to it... what would it be?

Me - 13t sprocket.

Cheapest horsepower is an air filter IMO.

But if I had to pick a favorite it would be a muffler, the power add and the sound make it very worthwhile to me.

Now, with ALL that said, my 700xx is still BONE STOCK, but it won't in a month because I'm going to be good to myself for my birthday and probably get a programmer and a pipe.

One mod only.....I would have to say suspension change. It really made the 700 ride and handle better.

What's the best intake? I took my filter off last night and measured it to find a K&N that will fit it.

When's your birthday? My quad was my present to myself, but my birthday is next week, so I might have to figure something out :hey:

I want to do that sooo bad, but dont have the $$$$ yet.

Unfortunately, that is also the most expensive mod. Shocks cost a ridiculous amount. But you are right, of everything I did to my Raptor, changing the shocks gave me the most return on my "investment". And I only got he Works G Series, no rezzies. Even those were over 500 bucks a pair.

Do the stock shocks suck that bad?! I've never ridden on anything else.

Also, do you just replace the filter, or the duct that goes from the filer to the throttle body?
January 18th.

Right now the only intake items that I am aware of are the lid mod and filter.

I'm assuming even with a filter you would want to have a programmer as I bet Honda has the fuel maps already lean.

Just the filter,Here is the Velocity I have

Where'd you get the Velocity filter?

http://store.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=RD-1400

this is the K&N that I found, I think it will work.
Ebay, The velocity has the added filter material on the end adding to flow plus its supplied with the correct insert that goes on the stock intake tube to fit correctly. The Universal K&N is not "bolt on"

ahhhh... ok... must resist the "buy it now"...

I'd need an optimizer with that too huh?
Rocky mountain has 'em cheaper (free shipping) with an outerwear.

Yes, you should get a fuel programmer if you get one. (my opinion)

So really, if you were piecing stuff together, you'd need the programmer first (see my other thread I just started)

I would.

Reason being is that these are probably set to run very lean so that they could be ahead of the bar on emissions-type stuff. Once you make the engine free flowing you introduce more air. (I know you already know this..but some might not) you'll lean it out.

Mine came with the outer filter also, Would you like to put the optimizer I have for sale on layaway lol?
Alba has the Velocity kits available for $99.00. That is where I got mine.

I don't think that the stock ones suck, but some good aftermarket ones would be a lot better. You would never know until you put them on.
Precision Racing Dampener all the way ... you thought you could fly across ruts and whoops before ... its a totally different machine with one installed and set properly.

Tis the best 400 bucks you can spend ..saves your wrists .. your elbows ..and adds tremendous speed with greater confidence knowing youre not gonna get thrown off your quad.
Man i'm really interested in getting the Dampner. I'm recovering from a sprang wrist and thumb as of now from some horrible trails we hit last week. Is there much adjustments on them to mes up or pretty much bolt and run?
