What is the secert? I see these pictures on here of everyone's 700's and most of them look brand new. I've had mine 2 months and the plastics are beat all to pieces. I can wash it all day and cant get the mud stains off of it. So if I'm missing something, please let me know.

I'd like to second that one.. after one good ride, it's from black to gray almost cause of the gouges, and scratches.. does everyone just ride out in the open where there is nothing to hit the plastics, or is there some type of special treatment for it to keep nice looking..

Lol, i know what ya mean. I hauled mine at to work with me last week. One of my coworkers took a look at it before we left. He asks me, "Did you buy it new?". I say "Yeah, its only about a month old". He says, "Damn, you've rode the hell out of it haven't you"

The key is to wash it as soon as you get it back to the house. If you let the mud and crud sit on it, it is really hard to get clean. I use the Armor all Advanced shine all over the plastics after using simple green to clean it. After a long weekend ride like last weekend, I removed all the plastics and gave it a deep clean. It still looks brand new. I even take a rag with armor all and wipe down the motor, frame, and exhaust. I just cant justify not keeping this bike looking its best. Too much money to drop and let it sit dirty.

as far as my bike goes i will knock the mud of it after a long weekend ride, but only so i can inspect it for damage. the way i see it my bike was born to be in the mud, so in the mud it shall be. and it shall wear that mud as a proud testament of its accomplishments and abilities. the mud is a badge of how capable it is, as well as what it has overcome. plus its kind of a in your face to all the xx haters out there that say the xx cant get out of its own way. my xx says to them, "well sir i beg to differ."

most the pics are from where everyone first brought theres home. i had to cover mine with a graphics kit and im on second plastics. and its alabout the right photo angle.lol

Mine looks like it has a case of asphalt ass up close. Thats why I keep tire shine on it!

2 tricks and you will keep it looking very nice:
1. Wash it with simple green
