Just for show? I ride where it's mostly dry so mud and water splashes aren't an issue but we get a lot of dust and smal rocks kicked up. Isn't it better to leave the fenders on or don't they really do much?

If I rode sand or desert. I would totally make mine look like a team Matlock racing bike. I ride in a lot of mud. So I keep them just to keep mud out of my radiator mostly. They really don't keep mud from flying all over me though.

I'm thinkin' it will show off my $1600 front shocks better. Actually I got them for $1025 direct from Elka on clearance. Shocks are so ridiculously expensive for what they do.

I thought they were removing them for a aero advantage, less drag?

Can't imagine the loss of wind resistance or weight is terribly noticeable. Least I didn't notice a difference, but it could make an impact to those who really need every ounce of performance.

I did it mainly for looks, and I really like being able to easily see my front tires. As for mud/rock protection, it makes almost no difference at all. If theres mud I still come back muddy

they do make a difference, easy way to see this is get a mate to drive your ute, stand up in the tray and then hold the fenders up, and i reckon wou will quickly notice how much drag they actually have
