As much as I'd love to tell you that I tore something up trying to pull my 1940 9N Ford tractor w/loader out of the field, just hit a soft spot disking. I instead dug 2 nice holes, then got the 08 Ford F350 stuck. Had to use the wife's 10' YuconXL to pull the tractor out, then used both the tractor and the Yucon to pull out the truck. A long day. Knock on wood I havent broken anything big yet. :-)

I'm prepping my 700xx for the riding season and I found out I need a new piston, rings, cylinder, front sprocket and all 8 control arm bearings; it would help me out a lot if I was able to get them.

I originally sent drtrider a pm about this offer a week ago. Since then I condensed the video, for the purpose of this thread and to keep people from viewing a 7 min video. It looked like I had him around the 10 second mark. Also I will be adding some cell phone pictures of the chain damage I found after this pull, and before the next ride. Some of you may know I replaced my chain, but not the sprockets. And after last weekend I wont be running a 13t no more!

Video

Cell phone shots.

Mquick, why didn't the guy get off his machine and push it while you were pulling it? Looks like if he lifted up the rear end, you may have been able to get it up a bit. Just a thought. Congrats on the win.

DRT, I sold my quad, so my sprockets went with it. I'd give anything to have some memorabilia haha. JK.

Snoshoe - I bought a new outlander 1000. One of my cousins (he is 16) had a mud event with some kids his same age. I was out cruising around in the "swamp/bog" and they asked if I thought their trucks would make it. Let's see, my 1000 lbs quad was sinking sitting still in the mud, so what would a 5-6000 lbs truck do. Yep, your right, get really stuck, but I said "Yeah, no problem" Damn kids always taking advice from older people with out thinking haha. So all three trucks got stuck, I bet a kid $50 I could pull him out. I did. 3 hours on the machine. But figured the worst I'd do is blow a belt. 1 hr later on the machine, blow my first rear differential. Get it fixed under warranty. 3.5 hrs later, blow the second, this time I didn't pull anything or abuse it in anyway besides doing some wheelies. I am not on the 3rd rear diff, have 5 hrs on it now, and am pretty confident it is going. Moral of the story, all of our quads can handle a lot, but if you don't have a Honda, don't try to overdue it haha.

Thanks! And I knew I should've took a picture of the quad to show how stuck he was. The video is deceiving to say the least, look's like he's just sitting on a hill! To try and give you an idea, the front frame just behind the bumper was in the mud. And the 22" rear tires were all but about 2-3" buried. I didn't capture it on video, but before the Rzr came to the rescue, we had my quad and a 2wd utility quad both pulling on the front bumper while 3 others tried lifting and pushing!

LOL. I guess looks are deceiving. Weird how we get ourselves in some situations, I like to always say it is someone else that screws up and I come to the rescue, but not always the case haha.
