Looking for an OEM Camshaft. Decompression Lobe went out on mine. I found it for $118 onlilne, just putting out a feeler trying to save some $$$. Thanks

I could imagine you could remove it if the cam you are using had enough overlap . pretty sure hotcams wont work with out the decompressor. not even sure the 290 web cam will let it roll over with out the decompressor

mean that I will leave it where it is (cam is the original) I will try to change oil, with one that cleans better, to see if this decompressor, it will work better. Best regards from IT |
check the valve lash . the one that works with the decompressor is critical to the function of the decompressor [right side front valve ]
when I installed the hotcam I had to tighten the space to .006 on than one valve. yeah that was the only way I could get it to rollover |

without it, did you encounter problems when starting engine? I'm thinking remove the mine decompression lobe, because sometimes, remains active, and engine shut off, during idle, especially when the temperature is below zero |
