Hello,
without it, did you encounter problems when starting engine?
I'm thinking remove the mine decompression lobe, because sometimes, remains active,
and engine shut off,
during idle, especially when the temperature is below zero

I could imagine you could remove it if the cam you are using had enough overlap . pretty sure hotcams wont work with out the decompressor. not even sure the 290 web cam will let it roll over with out the decompressor

Thanks for the information,
mean that I will leave it where it is (cam is the original)
I will try to change oil,
with one that cleans better,
to see if this decompressor,
it will work better.
Best regards from IT

check the valve lash . the one that works with the decompressor is critical to the function of the decompressor [right side front valve ]

when I installed the hotcam I had to tighten the space to .006 on than one valve. yeah that was the only way I could get it to rollover

thank you very much for the information,
I will check them.
If they seem ok, I will be tempted to cut this extension
of rocker arm, and thus nullifying effects of decomp.
But the engine, will it start?
With a lithium battery?

my experience says no , bad idea.

something you should do is have the rockers hardened ,that intake side looks a bit scorched where it hits the camshaft. if you were to put in a hotcam you would have to do that . and I would also do the oil mod I came up with to get more oil to the came shaft .

if you were to grind off that part of the rocker and it still not roll over then you would have to replace the rocker and the camshaft .

Good eye on the scorched rocker. From my cell it also looks like the other two are worn and cupped, but my just be my view.
