Starters on quads are a PITA to rebuild, because they are so small. And the damn magnets always shift. My cousin bought one from an electrical shop, same part number and stuff but an off brand one for his Suzuki, lasted 4 races and went. I pulled it apart and it was clogged with water and mud. All in all, he saved $100 from buying an OEM one. He got another one, and same thing happened after 3 months. So now he has an OEM one, and it's lasted 5 months and going strong.
