Eric is lying to you or you misunderstood what he said, going to a 10:1 to 11:1 will not get you more than 1 hp. You must do head work to break 50rwhp on the 700xx. All Alba builds have a p&p head with +1 valves. The Ehs big 3 is good for 45-46rwhp and this was done on Eric's dyno lol. The blue line is the Ehs big 3 with the 11:1 cp piston on Eric's dyno lol.

you can definetly break 50 with a cam and piston, you were right at 50 jodi with your web 490 and cp and your xx was the lowest # i have seen for any xx with the big 3. I have had them at 48.5 with just the big 3 and usually they dont do less than 46.5-47 there is some varience from bike to bike.

A piston alone will not gain you a ton of hp though maybe .5 to 1.5 you need to change the cam to net the bulk of power. I wouldnt do a piston alone unless you needed to for repair issues or just wanted to get it done while you save up for a cam.

My stage 2 webb(490) cam has a 260/260 valve duration which is more than the hotcam stage 3 which is 257/257. The hotcam stage 2 has a 244/244 valve duration. I should have said, a 11:1 cp piston and a hotcam stage2 cam will not break 50 rwhp. I purchased another 700xx and would love to come down and put your big3 on and see what this one does.I will sell or trade you my spare head now that i have 3 of them. My 700xx in my sig did make 56.5rwhp(stock tb) when tuned with the pcv which is on par with the other 2 700xx you built.

By what I gather the Honda engine doesnt gain as much as the Yamaha engine with a piston change. Not only does the Honda come with more compression but its closer to being actual than the Yamaha. The Yamaha is advertise at being 9.2 or 9.3 but by the math they are 8.8-8.9

So if you went with the web cam you'd most likely have to swap for heavier valve springs? I know for the hot cam stage 2 you can stay with the stock springs. I would imagine if the web is that much bigger than you have to do springs as well.

The Webb stage 2 is a drop in cam. Stock springs would be fine, maybe hardweld rockers if you wanted it to last forever.

So chuck, back to my question. How did the 15t feel on yours? Did it pull similar to the 14t before the build?

Sorry for not being on much, moving and spending time w/ family for the holidays. Anyway, Crash, imagine the 14T w/ the Big 3. I guess thats all I can really say. It has been a while now, so I can't really say for sure. But it pulls pretty strong off the line w/ the 15t once she is warmed up. For the starting, boost said to use one of these, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT, which I took the one out of my rocket and it fired right up right away. There is just so much more starting current w/ one of these, and it fits right in. It is a YTZ10S.
