We were in sand, but on hardpack I have no problems with traction there on the stock tires.

try les schwab... i know weird, but my dealer told me that last year the les schwabs around here bought up all the skat trak paddles as the season neared. maybe they do the same thing with knobbies too. worth a call anyway.
