Are they ever gonna come out with a new Honda 700? I mean come on its bullshit I would really like to see a new 700 maybe one with a straight axle. The 700xx is a great machine and Honda could really make another great 700..

Yeah my 08 is getting some age on it. But there's really nothing out there I'd rather ride. I for one wouldn't like to see it in a sra, I mean if that's your thing buy the 450r. I wouldn't mind seeing a 4x4 version. If they could doit and only add 50 to 100 lbs max.

M_Quick,
I would Have a 450R in a second but without a reverse they can keep it. Guess it adds too much weight.

I would like to see Honda revisit the 700...I for one like the independent suspension and think its what makes the 700 unique and a blast to ride under all conditions.
Honda can ax one of the smaller machines to make room for it!

It came out at the worst time possible. Many of the other manufacturers slowed down their race quad production and focused more on utility bikes.

To All,
I must clarify something. I definitely love my 700XX but would like to also have a 450R. My 700 is wonderful and I do agree that Honda need to re-introduce a 700+ with a modern touch as was pointed out in the above posts.

Guys, just my opinion as I've been around the block a time or two. I loved the 700, it was an incredible machine. I've had a few 450s as well, one set up pretty damn sweet that rode better than the xx in comfort thanks to some expensive shocks, only thing it lacked was the ground clearance. After saying this, I believe Honda will be getting on the band wagon again, maybe something redesigned or whatnot with the 700, but that's not the only thing. I just bought a new outlander 1000. Next summer I'm thinking of a side by side as they are suppose to be getting some trails up here for them. Honda lacks in both of those departments as well. I always have been a very PRO HONDA guy, but went with Can-Am because Honda doesn't offer anything comparable. Their focus has been on racing and utility machines for a while now. When they introduced the XX, it was the first time in their quad department that they really came out with anything that was more geared for a recreational rider. Everything else they produced from late 90's until then was basically for either work (utility) or Racing, from the 250 which is very popular with the kids, to the 400 which was bulletproof, to now the 450s, which are always racking up wins. I do think sometime in the near future they will be coming back to us recreational guys, but with running a business myself, you kind of have to go where the market tells you. For the XX, the market said to close your doors, and that's what they did. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough people like us to give them a shot and see how amazing they are.

2008 700xx; Power Bomb header with power core 4 exhaust, Power Programmer III, pro armor nerfs, prm products control front and rear bumpers and full skid, 10" ITP rears, ITP Baja's fronts, RZR 2's all the way around, Uni filter, 13t sprocket, CCP steering Damper, DS450 shock swap, Dual Gasser Throttle, bar risers and Moose barkBusters. 730XX kit plus other engine mods!

I don't think the 450r is selling too well right now and the 700xx didn't sell until you could buy them for about $5k otd. If Honda would have nailed the handling off the showroom floor they may have sold better. Better front shocks, a stiffer sway bar and different castor setting makes a huge difference. And then you need to price it the same or less than the Raptor.
