Why did you choose the 700xx?

So, why did you choose the 700xx over the Outlaw IRS?
Reliability?
Design?
Quality?
Fuel Injection?
Size?
Other reasons?

Currently: 400ex, Lexx MXe, K&N w/outerwears
Outlaw 525 IRS

I was looking to get some 4 wheelers so we could spend some fun family time while we were in NJ. I had bought my wife a 500forman es for "snow plowing in ME" so we checked out the honda guys. ended up getting 2 Kawi 90s for the kids and although the dealer had a 700 on the lot I thought it too expensive so I got the 400ex. I loved that little machine. handled so much like my snowmobile. but alas it got stolen in waco during our change of station move. I found the 700 on CL for 3.2k alittle bruised but hey. Zoom zoom right.

Its amazing how far a KFX 90 will fly if you go fast. 15' is her current record.

I never even considered the outlaw 525. Good motor (although high maintenance) and stock fox shocks , but everything else is junk. I would of got a 400ex or 450r over the outlaw 525. I got the xx because it's got tons of torque/ HP, rides like a dream and of course because it's a Honda.

When I purchased my 700xx, I never consider'd the Outlaw either. I was mainly shopping on a budget, and had narrowed my search down to 2 quads. The 08 700xx and a 09 Brute Force 650 4x4. The Kawasaki was 1K more in price, a year newer, but heavier and 50cc's less. I was torn between sport and utility quad. I loved the looks of the 700xx, and the price was sweet low to mid 4k. I talked with my cousin, who has ridden about everything with a motor. And he assured me the Honda was reliable and could go most anywhere they ride. He also said you could have a lot more fun on the sport quad, you just get dirtier and there faster. So I saved the 1k and bought the 700xx and so far I'm pretty pleased with my choice.

I never considered the Outlaw. I wasn't aiming to buy a 700xx either. I went to the Cycle show at the Minneapolis convention center in 2010. I had just sold my LTR450 and was looking at either a Honda 450R or a KFX450R. Kawasaki did not have any atv's at the show. I sat on the 450R and then I sat on the 700xx and fell in love. I'm a bigger guy so the 700xx fit's me better. And then the price is also what got me. That was the time when Honda dealers were clearing out the 2008 700xx's. Got it for about $5k OTD.

When I got my xx I was actually looking more at raptor 700's. as I too am a big guy the 450' and the outlaw were on the small side. I didn't want to look like a Shriner in a mini car riding onmy quad. We had also just got a new sportsman for the farm so i knew i didnt want a 4x4. Then I saw my xx for sale so I figured I'd go take a look at it just to see if I liked the quad. Well I was instantly hooked as soon as I saw it. Tons of ground clearance and it's a Honda so it's instantly more awesome than the rest. I haven't looked back since except to watch everybody eat my dust. Lol. But seriously the reliability the power the ride the ease of use. And now that I've had it for a while its growing on me even more.
