Discontinued Honda legends

Got a nice ride in this weekend, sad that we may never see machines like this produced again. [IMG][/IMG]

Honda killing one of the most innovative atv's they have offered in a long time was very sad. Instead they continue to warm over old tech. Don't get me wrong. I love my 400ex as much as the next guy, but at some point Honda needs to get the memo that the '90s called and wants its technology back. I haven't seen anything from them since the 700xx that I've wanted to purchase.

Currently: 400ex, Lexx MXe, K&N w/outerwears
Outlaw 525 IRS

Yeah, I feel the same way about my wife's KFX 700. Two great quads we will never seen again that didn't get the credit deserved, cause everyone is stuck on 450 bandwagon right now. This was from our trip to Coos Bay Saturday.

Yea it looks like with the exception of the raptor that the big bore sport segment has gone into extinction and even the raptor has barely been changed in nearly a decade. The focus seems to be on 4x4s and UTVs now.

The only quad really selling in the US is the Yamaha yfz. Maybe Honda can shake things up with their 450 efi. The 700xx required too much R&D plus Honda had a huge surplus of ATV's in 09 which led them to just refine the 450's instead of building a new one.

Does refine mean "bold new graphics"?

It's sad that the sport quad market hit the wall in 2008. Still not as bad as the late 90's.

2008 700xx with lots of goodies.

The 2015 Raptor 700 got a few nice upgrades. I understand why the 450's are the hot ticket right now but comfort is a big deal to me and you can't ride one of those quads all day without taking a beating. They just aren't comfortable enough for me. I don't have anything against the Raptor, the only reason I don't have one is cause I found the Honda for cheaper.
