Fingers crossed they're just letting what 450r's and 400x's they have left sell before they introduce new updated models. That's probably just wishful thinking but hey you never know.

Well looks like I stirred up a little bit of controversy... Good! This forum needed a bit of action.

Little birdy who knows someone who knows someone told me that Honda is in fact bringing a sport UTV to the market. When? Dunno but it's happening

I think the SxSs and utility quads are selling well for Honda (and everyone else) so I doubt they will discontinue everything but it definetly looks like the Sport quads have gotten the permanent axe. I'd bet Yamaha is ready to call the quits on the YFZ and raptor soon too. It's been awhile since either have received a upgrade and you don't see too many new ones around.

Ive also heard that Honda was releasing a 1000cc sport SXS for 2017 BlakJak and possibly a 1000cc Rincon too. We'll have to wait and see but if Honda was ever going to set a foot in the game of high powered 4x4s, now would be the time

Hope you are right. Their Rincon was outdated and boring before it came out. The laughable 686cc with less HP than most 400's should have been decommissioned years ago - well unless you own a farm.

With both in stock form, The Rincon actually handles better than the XX.

It's not fast, but when the Rincon was released it was very competitive for its class and was arguably the best all around 4x4 on the market. It's dumb comparing sport quads to Utes, but a Rincon can hang with anything in a technical windy trail. Remember, nearly stock Rincons placed 1st and 3rd in the 2002 Baja 500. Regardless of the rider, you couldn't do that on just ANYTHING.

The problem is, the competition kept improving and Honda kept the Rincon the same. Its still arguably the best Handing 4x4 on the market but I agree, the engine package and lack of options has made it outdated. It's still a fun quad to ride though.
