atv locksmith help

when I put the key into the ignition and turn it, the light comes on but the engine does not buzz.. this could be a wiring issue or an electrical one.. could be a problem with the lock itself.. should I call a locksmith?

Use a test light or volt meter to see where electricity is going. Fairly easy to do and will help wasting money where it's not needed (could just be a fuse).

Waste of money for sure, if you called a locksmith out. The key fits into the ignition, and turns, so nothing a locksmith could do. Unless is multi talented? Might be different if you needed a key cut.

Yeah, check volts at battery would be my 1st step. Then see if it makes it to the starter, past the relay.
