450r no impressed at all

I got an 08 700xx all stock. Just rode a 06 Honda 450r, full yoshi exhaust, no lid, k&n filter, and jetted. To say the least, it was a dog. Thing was slowwww. Felt the same at best as my stock XX. I dont know what the hype is all about with them? Only thing i liked about it was is slid around on pavement easily. Thing barely wheelied in 2nd! Drifts like mad, but thats it. Anyone feel the same way?

751 ,barker pipe,290 Web cam,+3 stroker,TB bored to 46.8 and moved back from head 1 inch,+3 big bore , +1 intake valves, Hard Welded Rockers,KW springs, ported, clutch mod , air box removed ,Cat oil mod, dynojet commander V w/auto tune , lowered rear end , TRX450R front shocks ,

We have an 06 450R as well as the 700xx and both are about the same in the speed/power area.
The 700xx is factory stock.
Of course the 450r has full DASA exhaust, modified air box, jetted carb, and the Honda Racing Kit inside the motor.
With all of that, it's about as fast as the 700.
Without the mods, I'd say the 700xx would be faster.

PRM Desert II bumper and PRM Control Grab bar, Houser anti-vibe Pro-Bounce nerfs, DS450XC shock mod, ROX anti-vibe 2" riser, Tusk billet gas cap, more to come.....

They both have their place. The 450R can be freed up a lot once you get into the motor.
