Earplugs...Yay or Nay?

Hey guys!

So I just bought a 2008 TRX700XX... I was wondering if I'll need some earplugs when riding it because I've been diagnosed with mild tinnitus and mild hyperacusis caused by me playing for a heavy metal band. Been searching for good custom made hearing protection for a while as I want to preserve my ears. But I'm not sure if I really need to wear plugs while riding my TRX because I haven't ridden it yet for a long period of time.

Any comment, suggestion and recommendation is welcome.

Thanks in advance!

I wear plugfones.

Protects hearing and it's awesome listening to music when you ride.

Custom ones aren't so great in a helmet. The material is hard and they get shook around. Need something out of foam since they hurt like hell when they get out of place otherwise

Tried listening to music while on my quad and I got a little anxious. Never did it again. LOL! Will check this brand now. Thanks!

I actually saw this vid on youtube about custom motorcycle earplugs.
They are called
Big Ear. How do you think about em? I want to get something like this. I better save up or find something cheaper I suppose because they cost a bit more..

I have two sets of custom plugs and custom earphones like those. Mine were made by hearing aid engineers and fit perfect. I work as an acoustician. Love the plugs and earphones but they don't work on a quad or snowmobile. Road bike they are perfect

I don't use ear plugs when riding but I do try to run a quiet exhaust.

Even with a quiet exhaust I wear plugs. Can't wear my custom ones though or they hurt like hell after an hour or so.
