Lets hear about some close calls almost wreck did wreck?

oK i will start it I was riding down at my farm and My buddy who has a polaris sportsman 850 wanted to race. We have a 30 acre lake on our place and we were on the dam which is about 500 feet across one side is 35 foot deep water the other side is about 60 feet of dirt and rocks straight down. We were on the top of the dam which is about 10 feet wide at the top We started off and he had no chance at all to keep up so I was slowing down then he passed me so I decided I would have none of that caught back up and when I was right next to him he cut over not knowing I was there I slammed the rear break and ended up with my right rear wheel over the edge with the 60 foot incline that was almost time to get a new xx

Anyone have any stories

At the place I used to ride until it was closed downI was tracking my time around the trails and trying to go faster and faster. It was a pretty good little trail with some open areas and some tight spots. At one point I was really moving (probably a little to fast) and came up over this hill in third gear. When I got to the top a cut the left turn a little too quick and because of that and the muddy conditions, my front left tire caught the 2" tree and stopped me dead and spun me all the way around until I was only holding on with my right hand and nothing else. If I were to let go, I would have flown back down the hill without the xx. Close call and nothing was damaged except for my ego.

A few weeks ago, I was at Hollister Hills SVRA... I was on a rather flat wide trail and was almost pegged in 5th... not unusual for this particular trail and I'm not the only one who flies down it. There is a spot where you make a nice backward "S" turn... nice and fast. Right hander was fine... The left hander exiting the turn was another matter... You can't see ALL the way through the turn... the exit is a blind exit. There was a YFZ stopped right in the middle of the trail right after the turn exit. Hit my rear brakes hard and locked it up. Sliding sideways, I knew I was still going to hit the clown... just going way too fast. Just before I was about to hit, I let off the brakes and turned right just as hard as I could... and then immediately back left. I fishtailed right around him... at about 60mph. My guess is that he won't be stopping right in the middle of a trail again... if he can start his heart again anyway. I just can't believe that I missed him at that speed.

I purchased a honda 70 ATC, Let all the kids in the family take turns on it.... Sold it shortly after. My Little sister hit a Trailer House.... Yes... A trailer house. Nephew got scared and bailed letting it hit the Blazer parked at the same trailer house my sister hit. My son turned it over on the drive way turning to fast. Nephew thought it was cool to stand on the pegs while riding till it bounced him off and run em over. He then went on to hit an orange tree and broke his arm.

Funny you post this thread!!! The weekend before last I thought it would be cool to take my girlfriend for ride at night. So we were just cruisin then I came up to a long straight away, so I jumped on my 700XX pretty good. A deer ran out in front of us and I swerved to the left and missed it, but there was another deer right behind the first. Yeah, Pretty Ugly!!!!
I missed 3 days of work with bruised ribs and she sprained her ankle really bad. She just went back to work yesterday. Now I have to buy a new steering stem, new front plastics and a front bumper.

Just Ride!!!!!!!

Ridin with a couple buddies, started to rain and we were going to race back to the truck. I went into a turn in 4th, started sliding a little on the now wet rocks, went up a bank on the side of the trail in the corner and took the bark off the first tree with the rear wheel, however I didn't see the stump under the leaves, somehow missed the stump with the front wheel and hit it with the back left. Bike threw me like I hit the "EJECT" button, new rims/tires all the way around, new steering stem, new seat and a nice new hole in my elbow which had to get stitched at the ER since the bone was exposed.

Fun Fun
