Laptop Operating System

Hey Guys,

I recently had to purchase a new hard drive for my other laptop and now I need a new operating system. Which one should I go with? The laptop had Vista Home Premium 64 bit which was ok, but would I be better off with XP or windows 7? I haven't had any experience with 7, but had XP on my first laptop and thought it was great. Tigerdirect has windows 7 home premium 64 bit on sale right now for $99.99.

Please help me out, I've been using my daughters laptop and need to get my own back.

John

Thanks for the quick replies. I'm heading over to tigerdirect right now to buy it. Hopefully I have no problem with my laptop being compatable. Just in case here is the link to my laptop specs, and one for windows 7 requirements. Could you please look it over and make sure I'm not over looking anything? I did upgrade to a 320gb hard drive, but that is it.
