im amazed at how many opinions the uneducated can have

we were all going riding at a local riverbed, when i pull up at the gas station/meeting spot one of the guys said "hey you changed the plastics"
and i told him i changed more than that, well a guy with a 660 raptor says "its still slow though" then proceeds to tell me that they are going to have to pull me out alot because my quad is so heavy

fast forward to the riding, we are in the sand/pea gravel river bottom, the guy on the raptor was getting stuck at every river crossing, i would come past him effortlessly with my tounge poking out, so later he gets mad and wants to race, we leave from a dig, i stay beside him using about 1/2-3/4 throttle, when we hit 4th gear i gunned it , pulled the wheels up and left him like his fell into reverse. he didnt even want to discuss it and he refuses to talk smack about a 700xx anymore...i also keep getting told how my bike will not hang with 450r's, yet i have never been beat by one or even almost got beat by one out of several i have raced.i think its funny how much smack the uneducated talk without seeing the results first hand.

I like the discussions I have with friends about he irs. All of them except one said they didn't care for the irs, there bike is the best trail. Until I have to stop and help them over a log, or through a rutted creek etc. Then they never say it again.

I have a rule, if I am out riding and people talk shit about the IRS, I will not help them at all. If they talk a lot of shit about it, I usually spray them. If they actually ride it and just say they don't like it because it is different, but don't talk shit, I will help them out all day. It amazes me no matter how many people i beat in the scrambles, the amount of people that still talk shit. Last race was the best as every single person got stuck, except for me, and the 4x4s.

I just get "the look" and some bitchin ,get it from almost everyone around me on the start line. Thing that makes me laugh is , there is only a few racers still smiling after 3 hours and one guy with a wicked ass grin. The biggest help with set up has been the 4x4 guys. They have a heart of gold but would use as traction whilst racing. I don't share Chucks theory , when racing if there is a fallen rider , I ask him if he/she is ok. I hope when I get it wrong ,they would do the same for me .

Lee, i should clarify my statement. I mean when people are stuck in the mud, I wont help them at all if they are the ones that talk crap about the XX. A fallen rider is completely different.
