114 degrees in the shade.

Took the XX out a few days ago in the desert heat. 114 degrees! Long story short I lasted about an hour before I was totally drained. Had plenty of cold water in my camelback but the sun just sucks the energy from you. The ride home, street legal in Az with a plate and insurance, back 30 minutes through the desert and then a few minutes down my road lasted forever. I died when I walked in the door and layed on the floor in the AC for 20 minutes. Then a cool shower to lower my body heat. I'm really anxious to start riding daily again but it looks like a few more weeks before the Arizona heat gets within bearable limits, under 102 degrees.

Yea I hear ya. Its been around 105-106 most days here with a few reaching to 110. Makes it hard to ride for any decent lengths of time. I usually try to wear shorts but then my leg gets burned from the engine heat... just cant win.

we tend to take the bikes out early and hit the shade before noon, then get back out and ride when the sun is about to go down. same issue of getting drained by the direct sunlight. I'll be headed out tomorrow early (6 am) and I'll be home by noon because it gets too damn hot to stay out.

Right now it's about 55 and overcast... I doubt if it'll get to 65... kinda that way all summer... I have to go inland to see the sun and ride... max was about 85 last weekend. Cool ocean breeze with fog at night, air conditioners don't sell well where I live. If it seems like I'm sticking my tongue out at you all... You'd be right.

It was about 90 today in NE Ohio. It was a scorcher for us since the last few weeks have been in the low 70s. Went out perch fishing with my dad and uncle and swam a little bit after we limited out, pretty refreshing.

You need to haul it up to the mountains if you want to ride in Az in the summer it is even warm up there in the daytime. My quads, bikes sit all summer unless I go to the mountains. You could ride to Crown King if you start really early, but then there is the ride back.....

Is the limit still 50 each on Erie, been awhile since I've been there. My family had a boat we docked at Oak harbor, west of put in bay.
